Autorenporträt
Ivy Noelle Weir is an award-winning comic book writer, librarian, and publishing professional. Writing comics and prose for all ages, Ivy is the author of The Secret Garden on 81st Street (Little, Brown for Young Readers), the co-creator of the Dwayne McDuffie Award-winning graphic novel Archival Quality, and her writing has appeared in anthologies such as Princeless: Girls Rock (Action Lab Entertainment) and Dead Beats (A Wave Blue World). Ivy has won multiple awards for her quality work, including the Publishers Weekly Star Watch Honoree and Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity in Comics in 2019, as well as, the American Library Association Emerging Leaders award in 2015. I draw and, sometimes write, comic books. I complain a lot but I love it and can't imagine not doing it. I've been lucky enough to work with a lot of different publishers on different and varied type stuff. Some of those publishers are TKO, DARK HORSE, IDW, TOP SHELF, BOOM!, A WAVE BLUE WORLD, IMAGE (back up type stuff), MAD CAVE, SCOUT, etc. As well as a heavy assortment of smaller indy publishers.
