Franziska Freitag, Kind der Generation der Sechzigerjahre, wurde in Deutschland geboren. Nach dem Abitur studierte sie Medizin und spezialisierte sich anschießend auf das Fachgebiet ¿Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe¿. Nach der Beendigung ihrer physisch und psychisch sehr anspruchsvollen Berufstätigkeit und mit dem Eintritt in den Ruhestand hatte die engagierte Ärztin erstmals Gelegenheit, seit Jahren gehegte Gedanken zu ordnen und in Romanform zu Papier zu bringen. ¿Schöne lila Welt¿ ist ihr Erstlingswerk. Es flossen viele menschliche Erlebnisse und Erfahrungen eines langen, intensiven Arbeitslebens in das Werk ein. Die Autorin ist seit vielen Jahren verheiratet und hat drei Enkelkinder.
