We often stay bound up with ropes and chains that keep us trapped in negative behaviors, toxic relationships and history driven reactions when someone ticks us off. You do not have to stay stuck in places you hate and then feel powerless. We often stay bound up with ropes and chains that keep us trapped in negative behaviors, toxic relationships and history driven reactions when someone ticks us off. You do not have to stay stuck in places you hate and then feel powerless. It takes time, as I have found true in my life, but those ties that bind us do start to fray and snap in the end if we use a few tools consistently. This is not a book with all the answers but it is a book of some of my experiences and techniques I've learned in the process. Are you looking for freedom like I was a few years ago when I walked away from a cultish religious organization. My journey continues as freedom is intoxicating after you start breaking ties that open up that sphere of freedom.

It is not about being perfect in your eyes or in others eyes but it is about developing new strategies to stand strong for what is best for you in particular situations. "Today there may be one key, one strategy, one mindset or one promise to make to yourself that will unlock the door to your freedom." I am learning new things as I continue on this journey and am excited to share as much as I can with you, my reader because it is no fun living behind bars in the darkness. "Many times, we need time to form the new before the old breaks loose and breaks loose for good, not for just one month." But let me tell you that the pursuit of freedom will take you to places that will surprise you. You do not have to miss out on this adventure.

First you must "Identify the Target" that you want to learn how to adjust, reformat and do better at. That is the title of the first chapter because that is a must be if your journey is successful. The 2nd chapter is just as important. You must "Personalize the Decision to Change" so the journey will yield results that bring sunshine and freedom. Chapter 3 will explain the "unmagic" of the 21-day challenge but it also is effective and approached with consistency. The 21-day approach has to be done with a sense of finality because day 22 does not mean back to old habits. Chapter 4 is scary because "Recovery May Be Messy" as we delve into the ties that have us bound up.

A self-help book like "Breaking The Ties That Bind You" would not be complete without addressing the role of forgiveness in the journey we plot out so we can be better. But you may be surprised at the angle I approach forgiveness from. This chaper is worth the entire book. Lastly, as the ties break and snap for good, you may find the need to recraft the code you live by. We will talk together about how to rehone your code crafting skills.

Add this book to your must read this year then pass it on to your inner circle of friends.
