These works work through the struggle to find a positive and hopeful slant. When I read and listen to these works, I feel good about the future even as I struggle with the past and in the present. This a message we should all work to bring to our communities as we seek to understand each other and create a shared future of equality for all.

Jondrea Nicole has lived in Southeast Texas where she earned mastery in the area of TAAS for writing proficiency as a student at Jasper High School. She is a follower of Jesus, native of Louisiana, court appointed special advocate, "at-risk" youth speaker and graduate of Louisiana State University at Alexandria. "Breath of Liberty" explores triumph, perseverance, failures, heartache, relationships and love. Composed of poetry, prose, short stories and quotes; it is her first literary art form and merely an appetizer of written works to follow.
