Her chest tightened when she quietly walked in and saw him standing out on the terrace, bent over the railing in thought. She walked to the door and he turned as she opened it. His eyes were dark with sleeplessness. A scowl marred his face.
"Um... good morning," she said. He did not say anything. He pulled himself upright and walked past her into the room. Her skin hummed from his anger. "Are you... alright?"
He turned back to her and held out his hand, a gesture she had seen many times. This time it was tense and charged. He avoided staring into her eyes directly.
"Come," he commanded. As soon as Mina had placed her hand in his, his fingers tightened on her and pulled her sharply toward him. She yelped in surprise.
"Ferris..."
"I would like to have you now, Mina," he said. Her heart began to pound. His face was knotted in an unusual expression of what looked like confusion. She had never seen him seem so uncertain or upset.
"I think, maybe..." she didn't know how she wanted to finish that sentence. His fingers tightened and he pulled her into his arms. They wrapped around her and maneuvered her toward the bed. He pushed her firmly down and undid his robe so the fabric fell down to expose his muscled frame. His hands stroked down her bare shoulders, down the green fabric of her dress, and slid underneath to grab at her underwear. Her breath came faster as he roughly pulled it down her thighs.
Mina gasped as he pushed her forward onto the bed. She felt excitement well in her belly. She wanted to say something, but she couldn't think of anything that would quell whatever rage and passion had gripped him.
