Chosen to be Athena, goddess of wisdom. As a member of Jezebel's prized harem, she is the envy of every Sidonian. She enjoys great privilege, serving at the feet of Jezebel, with a single threat clouding her days. She must please the fickle princess if she is to live. Her love for Obadyah can never be discovered.Jezebel. Alluring, shrewd, and poised to rule, the daughter of the Phoenician king makes it her mission to destroy anyone and anything that stands between her and power. As Jezebel comes of age, her rage turns to Yahweh, His prophets, and His servants. Facedd with an evil far greater than any he could have imagined, Obadyah must stop Jezebel from destroying his people and their relationship with Yahweh, preserved in the precious scrolls and in the hearts of the prophets. Obadyah must save the Word of God. He must protect Zoë. He must accept the truth about himself. But how? Eliah. In the fulfillment of this impossible task, Yahweh brings Obadyah a helper: a little girl, gifted as a psalm-keeper. Can a little girl and two slaves save the Word of God-and themselves-from Jezebel's powerful hand?

Autorenporträt
Born in Dallas, Texas, Rebecca's family eventually settled in the heart of West Michigan. Long before she discovered her love of writing, Rebecca found a home on the soccer field, leading her to Michigan State University where she earned her BA in Business. After graduating, she returned to Dallas to pursue a Masters of Biblical Studies from the renowned Dallas Theological Seminary. This decision marked the beginning of two profound decades as a Bible teacher in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She now dovetails her experience, insight, and passion into leading Bible studies and crafting Christian fiction. When she isn't writing, she works as a soccer coach in West Michigan, passing on her knowledge and love of the game to today's youth. Rebecca's anchor is her family. Married to Chuck May for 25 years, she's the mother of two children, Emily Elizabeth and Jacob Wesley. They are her inspiration and joy. And let's not forget her delightful brood of ducks-Donna, Blue, Olive, and the ever-philosophical Socrates-who provide comic relief as well as a reminder to slow down, waddle, and enjoy the little things in life.
