Autorenporträt
Gerardo Bartolomé was born in Buenos Aires. Despite graduating as an engineer, his enduring passion for history and nature has been a defining aspect of his life. In 2003, he orcganized and led an expedition in southern Patagonia, retracing Darwin's footsteps, which inspired his inaugural historical novel, Darwin's Betrayal. Subsequently, Bartolomé authored numerous books focusing on Patagonia and Argentine history. In 2018, he established Ediciones Históricas, an independent publishing company dedicated to producing books encompassing history and tourism. Bartolomé has played various roles in the media, including hosting documentaries and participating in TV programs. More recently, he has become a sought-after lecturer, delivering talks on history aboard cruise ships in the mesmerizing landscapes of Patagonia and Antarctica.
