Briggsy's Time To Shine is Linda McKinley's first children's book. As a music major at college with a master's degree in education, she always wanted to be a teacher. Her inspiration for this book comes from many years teaching Kindergarten and pre K music. The instruments in Miss Linda's music classes may lack the personality and sophistication of Miss Poppy's, but her music classes always looked forward to playing their favorite instruments and making happy music together. The author's interests include playing the piano, reading, college football, (especially USC football), going to the beach, and most of all, being with family and friends. She and her husband currently reside in Tennessee.
