British Women Writers and the French Revolution provides an overview of a wide range of British women's writings on the French Revolution, from writers sympathetic to the Revolution like Mary Robinson, Helen Maria Williams, and Charlotte Smith, to anti-revolutionary writers like Hannah More and Jane West. ADRIANA CRACIUN is the author of Fatal Women of Romanticism (2003) and the co-editor of Rebellious Hearts: British Women Writers and the French Revolution (2001). She has published widely on women's writings in the Romantic period, and teaches British literature and critical theory at Birkbeck, University of London, UK.
