Brought up in a hill station in the North Eastern part of India, I have been a willing recipient of the wonders of nature that Shillong threw up at me. From streams to hillocks, pine trees and clouds-the rains would often mean that you stayed back at home reading or writing (if you had the desire). I chose the latter in between engrossing reads from the former. My childhood gave me a constant, which helped pass phases of losing myself in the milieu and in life. I have used verse to give comfort and find stability in an otherwise difficult existence.
