These Guidelines and Recommendations are a key result of DHIP (Development of Higher education institutions Internationalization Policies), an Erasmus+ project co-funded by the European Commission. Co-created by all partners of the DHIP consortium, they aim to share the project results, tools, and methodology.
The Guidelines tell the DHIP story, a story of experiences built on the Internationalization Enhancement Plan (IEP), a flexible tool created at the beginning of the project. Each Latin American partner university developed its own IEP, following the common format but tailored to its needs, and then began implementation.
Giving both concrete “examples” and the “principles” drawn from actual practice, the first part of the Guidelines can be useful for higher education institutions in any country.
The second part illustrates CLAR (Latin American Credit Reference), a tool that can facilitate cooperation within the Latin American area and with higher education systems in other regions.
