Autorenporträt
Anna Heussaff's first novel, Bas Tobann, is a murder mystery featuring the same location and leading character as Buille Marfach, and has been a bestseller among Irish language readers since its publication in 2004. Two novels in other genres have also been highly praised: Vortex, a fantasy adventure for young teenagers; and Cupla Focal, a contemporary love story set in an Irish conversation class for adults, and aimed at both fluent and not-so-fluent readers. All have won major Comortais an Oireachtais awards. Before she began writing fiction in 2002, Anna Heussaff spent many years in RTE radio and television, as a researcher, producer and director on factual programmes. She lives in Dublin, where she grew up in an Irish-speaking family.
