Jürgen Ehlers, born 1948 in Hamburg, worked as a geoscientist. In 1992 he published his first short story. He writes historical crime fiction, mainly based on true cases. In 2020 he finished an espionage trilogy set in WW II Holland. His next novel "Sturm in die Freiheit" is due to be published in August (Heyne, Random House).
