Allan Nixon is a bushie. He was born in an old Victorian mining town and now lives at the base of a mountain range north of Melbourne. Known as 'The Uteman' as a result of his bestselling Beaut Utes series of books, Allan travels around Australia writing, and gathering material for future works. His writing and photography has featured in numerous newspapers and magazines, including Outback magazine. Allan is a 2009 Australia Day Ambassador.
