Judith Butler is best known for Gender Trouble (1990), the book that introduced the idea of gender performativity. Moya Lloyd is Professor of Political Theory at Loughborough University. She is author of Beyond Identity Politics: Feminism, Power and Politics (Sage, 2005) and Judith Butler: From Norms to Politics (Polity, 2007). She is co-author of Political Ideologies: An Introduction (Palgrave, 2003) and Contemporary Social and Political Theory: An Introduction (Open University Press, 1998). She is co-editor of The Impact of Michel Foucault on the Social Sciences and Humanities (Macmillan, 1997).
