At sixteen, Pete Gallagher thought football was living. In one split second, a fateful September day in 1969, Pete Gallaghers hopes and dreams fell apart, with only a 20 percent chance of survival. Nanette Peters had her own share of trauma. Sam seemed like a wonderful guy, until he raped her. She is now pregnant for the second time. While Pete was confined to a mental institution, Nanette chose to marry again and soon found herself pregnant again. This marriage turned from blissful to a dreadful end. Nanette and Pete became involved in the same church. Having both experienced the strong spiritual connection, they prayed for love, and Pete dreamed of a wife and a family. Nanette wanted serenity and the awesomeness of Gods love. Their prayers were answered. Their wedding was so touching that the local paper ran the story in the following days issue: Local Former Businesswoman Marries Brain-Injured Survivor.

Autorenporträt
Patricia "Pat" Grant lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with her wonderful husband and two beautiful dogs. She was born of English and Scottish parents and raised in the lovely landscape of Connecticut for over sixty years. She is the sole survivor of her family, having suffered the loss of her parents in 2005 and her brother three years later in 2008. She is a mother of three grown successful businessmen and the grandmother of a granddaughter just one year old. Since her family is scattered across the USA, she believes it is her reason to travel. She was a legal secretary for most of her business life and, additionally, managed the family-owned flower shop for over fourteen years. She has also owned four other successful businesses but truly enjoys writing the most. She has recently returned to college to earn her degree in business management and accounting. She is currently using that material to help her son with his own flower and chocolate store in Windsor, Connecticut. As mention, Pat loves to travel, adores animals, including but not limited to horses that she so enjoys riding. Her hobbies include scrapbooking and knitting. Her granddaughter gives her reasons to continue her knitting. Her true passion is cooking, and she loves to entertain. Her only complaint about her life is that there just isn't enough time to do all the things she would like to do!
