Autorenporträt

Colin Oakes was born in Norfolk on 16 May 1945 and has had a varied career covering catering as a trainee chef, leading on to management. He attended Norwich City College to gain qualifications in catering and sage bookkeeping. He also spent time as a building labourer and in a meat processing factory ending his working life as a self employed gardener/handyman. Colin lives with his partner Janet and together they have 2 daughters, 1 son and four grandchildren living in England and Tasmania. Having made up stories for his daughter, Colin housed the dream of one day being able to write novels for all to enjoy. Now in retirement, he has the time to do just that. His main interests in writing are crime and fantasy. Colin¿s dream as an author is that a wide variety of people in various age groups may enjoy his stories.
