Annette Salton was born in New South Wales, Australia, the fourth of five children, but has lived up and down the east coast of Australia. She spent four-and-a-half years in Queensland and then finished her schooling in Victoria. She completed a Certificate II in business administration and Certificate III in government administration, and works part-time at a public high school as an administration officer.
