Capital is the fundamental work of Karl Marx (German: Karl Heinrich Marx; 1818-1883), a well-known German economist, writer, public figure and founder of Marxism. It includes three volumes (The Process of Production of Capital, The Process of Circulation of Capital, and The Process of Capitalist Production Taken as a Whole) which deal with the laws and regulations of capitalist society and describe major economic discoveries. Karl Marx's Capital, like Kant's Critique of Economic Reason, is considered a classic of economic theory.
