It is assumed that you can read ukulele tab, and that you know how to read the box chord diagrams.

This book is aimed at those new to playing melodies on the ukulele.

The songs are in easy to play keys for the ukulele.

The arrangements are presented in increasing levels of difficulty. So the not so challenging songs', ones in which your left hand (fretting hand) does not need to move out of position, are at the front of the book. As you progress the songs become more challenging and your left hand will have to move out of position, and up and down the fingerboard.

You can start playing duets. if you have a friend who plays the guitar, piano etc, then they could play the chord while you play the melody on the ukulele.
