Star formation, a process that was still poorly understood only 30 years ago, has progressed rapidly with our knowledge of the chemical composition and state of dense interstellar dust and gas. The conference brought together those working on the myriad aspects of astrochemistry as it relates to star formation. Highlights include: a preview of the next generation telescopes and detectors; studies of fundamental chemical processes both in the lab and "e;in the field"e;; an exploration of the connections between chemistry and physics in star-forming regions; and a focus on the unique problems of high-mass star formation. With a breadth of perspectives presented by both seasoned and younger researchers, the contributions include many of the latest exciting discoveries in the field.
