Kavery Nambisan studied medicine in Bangalore and Liverpool, and has worked as a surgeon in various parts of rural India. She is also an acclaimed novelist. Her first non-fiction book, A Luxury Called Health, was published in 2021. She now lives and work in Kodagu.
