"Oolie The Owl" is a short children's bedtime story about an owl who devoured an entire kingdom of mice under King Moonie. It was, to Oolie, a very satisfying experience to have the royalty for his meal.
However, the satisfaction was short-lived and he had to learn a hard lesson that "greed does not pay."
What's interesting and unique about this story is that it was written in a short span of 15 minutes, in freehand style, using the left hand.
Although physically draining from having to use an unfamiliar hand, the mental process was effortless. In fact, no deliberate thinking process was done as the story automatically took on a life of its own under a crafty writer, Maria Silvo's left hand!
