Two young Birmingham-based twins, Suzie and Sophie Popplewick, are drawn into a growing crisis when more and more of the population start to mysteriously freeze into coma-like states. Making things worse is the growing realisation that a mysterious, chameleon-like figure seems to actively enjoy helping this to happen by preying on the innocent, the weak and the lonely. When the Popplewick teenagers - aided and abetted by the 'De-Freezer' emergency services - manage to rescue a young woman from this fate, Suzie's initial pleasure disappears when she realises this has only brought their enemy's attention upon them. This threatens to be a particularly unwelcome as Suzie's relationship troubles with her boyfriend have already nearly driven her into the icy clutches of The Chill too, whilst the less-outgoing Sophie wonders if they are getting out of their depth. Can Suzie save the day, without her friends and families - including her sister and her boyfriend - falling victim to the man who would like nothing better than see the whole city freeze? Or will they, like others they care about, end up Chilled?

I am a writer from the Midlands (born in Worcester) with a liking for classic farce, contemporary fantasy and psychological thrillers.

I went to university in Southampton, which fuelled my ideas for the "Mandy And The Missing" series.

Among my influences (from both the printed word and on-screen entertainment) I would count classic (1963-1989) Doctor Who, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Ultraviolet (the TV series), JRR Tolkien, Tom Sharpe and Fritz Leiber. I also enjoy biogs of famous actors, musicians and authors.

For my hobbies I enjoy motorsport, football, debate, politics, socialising, visiting interesting cathedrals and places of interest, and going to music gigs and literary festivals.
