Ken Luchterhand, a native of Loyal, Wisconsin, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in Communications, Journalism emphasis. He was born and raised on a dairy farm and spent his youth helping his father on the farm. He has worked as a motorcycle mechanic, motocross racer, and motorcycle shop owner, a Peace Corps volunteer in Lesotho, a pet shop worker, a Sheriff's deputy, and a newspaper reporter and editor. Ken presently works in Public Relations with the Ho-Chunk Nation, a Native American tribe, in Black River Falls. He lives in rural Melrose, Wisconsin, with his wife Joanna, son Kennan, and their Gordon setter, Kema.
