Lukas Steinbeck analyses the Christian Education in Tanzania and thus transforms most of the oral discourse into a written analysis. He considers not only the historical but also the contemporary perspective with the help of a mission and catechesis oriented debate and recent approaches on the subject. The core of the analysis are work-biographical miniatures, developed in the context of an empirical survey in which six Tanzanian religious education teachers point out their view on Christian Education. On the basis of these results Christian Education can be included as a Tanzanian dialogue partner in the intercultural discourse of a comparative Religious education.
