Joanne Grady Huskey is an author, cross cultural trainer, and public speaker. She and her family lived in Madras (Chennai) India for three years, during which time she started the American International School of Chennai and a relocation business called, Global Adjustments. She loves India and has stayed connected through work and lifelong friends. She serves on the Board of Championwoman, a program that empowers Indian women. Her previous books include, Christopher & Caroline in Kenya; Growing Up Grady; iCAN: A Young Woman's Guide to Taking the Lead; The Unofficial Diplomat, and Make it In India. ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATORS Shakkeela Manoj, an Indian (Kerala) based self taught artist, mainly works on Indian traditional and folk art. Her works are a constant search for the best way to interpret and share Indian mythology and traditions. Ratheesh Kumar K.S. is a visual artist who hails from Kerala, India, where he is pursuing his Masters in Fine Arts. He works hard to develop paintings that speak to others and to himself.
