Yannis Lignos was born in 1993 in Athens, Greece. He grew up watching weekend morning cartoons and from a very young age developed a passion for diving into and creating fantasy worlds. As one of his greater adventures he moved to England where he currently resides. The Chronicle of Magica: the Beginning of the End is his first book, which he begun writing at the age of 13.
