Autorenporträt

Lindsey Brennan is an author and writer with a different take on how she sees the world and experiences it. While she loves to write about erotic themes of all flavors, often such writings also work to express the emotional and psychological aspects of someone with mental health diagnoses, sometimes multiple characters with a diagnosis or two, to show that while there are challenges, the people are still people.

It doesn't matter if the erotica is erotic romance or dark erotica or anything in between, there is another take on it from the view of someone with a diagnosis. She wants to show the vulnerability and the strengths of her characters as they navigate relationships and the world through their unique lens of living.

She works on several projects simultaneously because she's always thinking up new characters, scenes, themes, and storylines. She lets the individual characters in her mind share their experiences with her so she can share them with the world.

Her diagnoses are bipolar I, generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, complex PTSD. She writes about the characters she does so that others, including those who have been diagnosed in their real lives, can see these individuals portrayed as productive, independent human beings, as people, rather than described as "others" who are regularly used to present stereotypes and stigmas as appropriate.

She enjoys marshmallows, dark chocolate, reading romance, erotica, poetry, sci-fi, fantasy, and speculative fiction in ebook format.
