My daughter, Cleo, was born with sensorineural hearing loss in her right ear. We had many questions and emotions during its initial discovery - my mama heart ached at the perceived reduction in quality of a life that I had imagined for her. I wrote this book as we found our footing in a wonderful hearing support community. It's become more clear to me that with natural adaptability and resilience, kids like Cleo will thrive. I wrote this book about her, in hopes that in breathing this story to life, she and other little ones with Super Ears are instilled with celebration, confidence, and self-acceptance.
