Autorenporträt
Gisele Arruda is a professor and an interdisciplinary polar researcher, program designer, and educator in Arctic Governance, Sustainable Energy Systems, Climate Change Diplomacy, Change Management, Net Zero Transition (socio-environmental impacts, natural resources, socio-technical systems, local communities), Climate Change Risk, Environment and Society, Climate Finance, Cryosphere, and trans-boundary pollution. She studied two PhDs, and she is a professor in Circumpolar Studies. She is a member of the UArctic, the US Arctic Committee, country director of the International Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association, New York, United States, and Scientific member of IARPC. She belongs to multidisciplinary research groups in Canada, the United States, Iceland, Norway, and Greenland, researching Arctic Sustainable Energy systems, Climate Change, Bioeconomy, Blue Economy, Smart Specialisation, Societal Studies, Corporate Social Responsibility, and multicultural aspects of Higher Education. Previous books are Renewable Energy for the Arctic and Sustainable Energy Education in the Arctic, published by Routledge. The latest publication is Corporate Social Responsibility in the Arctic, in co-authorship with Lara Johannsdottir, published by Routledge.

Lara Johannsdottir is a professor at the University of Iceland. She also has significant management and specialist experience from in the financial sector. Her areas of research are corporate social responsibility and sustainability, strategy implementation, Arctic, and systemic risk. Lara has published dozens of articles and book chapters, including Corporate Social Responsibility in the Arctic, together with Gisele M. Arruda, published by Routledge. Lara was a Fulbright Arctic Initiative Scholar from 2018 to 2019. She furthermore takes part in national and international research projects.
