Shattered. . .

I stopped trying to hold on and placed all in the hands of my Heavenly Father. . .

And He wrapped His cloak around me.

When Ali came back home to Jesus, she had a long, hard lesson to learn about what it truly meant to have a relationship with Christ. Christian friends showered her with reading materials that should help her to come to know Him on a personal level. That was all fine and good, but she wasn't finding that active relationship that she was starving for in other people's books.

Ali's first "aha" moment began when her church encouraged its congregation to get into Life Journaling. At first, she followed the guidelines and read the assigned daily readings while praying and writing down passages that stood out to her. Soon the assigned reading led to following thoughts and ideas across the pages of the Bible as Jesus began to leap off the pages and share concepts that she had never before seen or comprehended, although she had read through the Bible umpteen times.

As time went by, her relationship with God began to bloom. She began to live in excited anticipation of her time with Him. She began to get up early each day, run downstairs, say, "Good morning, Jesus!" as she filled her coffee cup and then sit down at the table with Him in anticipation of what He had to show her each new morning.

The words she has written in these pages are a few of those "aha" moments dictated by His Voice and put on paper by her pen.
