The author, Wesley Lamar Johnson, has been involved in the game of football for over 30 years. He's been watching, playing, and, studying the movements of the game since he was 3. As a matter of fact, it's one of the first things he credits God with allowing him to see and remember at such a young age, number 75, Mean Joe Greene, Pittsburgh Steelers lined up, ready to go make a crushing tackle. Coach Johnson still has the three stitch marks under his right eye, running into the steel heater in the living room that day, while imitating the Hall of Fame Linebacker. LOL!! If we were to ask Coach Johnson what the stitch mark signifies to him today, he would say, "God's desire and plan to give him a eye for the game of football and to recognize/write enhanced plans, studies, and formulas to better teams." In his first book, Coaching with Christ, the book explains his enhanced ISFL design to coaches, his inclusion of faith in God, his mentality as someone who studies the game of football and its environmental atmosphere, and how his God-given written formula, ISFL, works for every sport who has multiple players.
