Since childhood, Mary Don Beachy dreamt of being a teacher and published author. She attended the University of Missouri, earned a master's degree, and spent thirty-four years teaching second grade. She has written magazine articles, co-authored When Peanut Butter is Not Enough, and published Mom Makes the Team. Now retired, she writes and dotes on her three grandchildren.
