Coffee Creek is a Narrative story that is based on the personal experiences and musings of its author, Roger Slagle MFA MSW LCSW. Coffee Creek is presented here in both, Novel and Screenplay format. Roger Slagle is an award winning screenwriter and feature film Director. His IMDb page lists a total of 9 films to include four feature films which he wrote, directed and produced. Roger Slagle's films have won a total of 63 international film Awards, (Filmfreeway 2024). Roger completed the (Graduate level) Professionals Program at UCLA School of Film and Television in Screenwriting. He also holds a Master's degree in Social Work and an MFA and BA in studio Art from California State University Sacramento. He has held a clinical licensure in Social Work sense 1984 to current. Roger has worked as a clinical Social Worker within Inupiat, Yupik and Siberian Yupik villages of Northwestern Alaska. He has also worked as a clinical Social Worker for a variety of Tribal communities on many Rancherias and Reservations of far Northern California and Oregon, i.e. The Umatilla Tribe, the Northern Paiute Tribe, the Redding Rancheria and the Pit River Tribe. He is an avid horseman having ridden, driven and trained horses. Roger has had many fine art publication reviews of his oil paintings, i.e. The San Francisco Chronical, Sacramento Bee (by: Alfred Kay) and the Sacramento Union. He is the Author of That's My Girl... a fictional narrative about Child Abuse and governmental institutions and Up River, "A Journey to Alaska without getting Cold" ...a vivid depiction of three generations of an Inupiat Eskimo family living in Nome and villages of Northwestern Alaska.
