Autorenporträt
I was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and to this day I am still residing in this area. I grew up in a small town just outside of my birthplace. I went to college for just one year then chose to drop out. Being only seventeen years old at the time, choosing a career that would carry me through life seemed too huge a task so I settled for secretarial and didn't enjoy it at all. Looking back now I wish I would have stuck to it. Perhaps I should have applied for something more suited to me. I married the love of my life, Shane, in 1991. I'm happy to say that we are still together and very much in love. Shortly after our marriage, we had two children. Our daughter Mandy was born first. She is an incredible artist. Then came our son, Dustin. He and I created the www.coloursInBlackness.com website. He is my hero with technology. Thankfully he's quite savvy with all the new fangled electronics that I don't quite understand. The five books in my Colours In Blackness series as well as A Bed Of Blood, are self published. It's not that I wouldn't enjoy letting someone else handle all the nitty gritty because I certainly could use their help. I needed to do this on my own just to know that I can. Now that I've taken the books as far as I am able, a publishing company or agent to push them into the hands of a wider audience would be greatly appreciated. I have Fibromyalgia and Porphyria so sometimes it's difficult to stay focused and driven. Writing these stories is an accomplishment that I am very proud of, especially since I have no formal training in writing. My mother helps me bounce ideas around and pushes me on when I fall into creative slumps. I couldn't have succeeded without the aide of several friends and family members and for that I will be eternally grateful. Please enjoy my stories. I love all of characters and will forever hold them near and dear to my heart. Feel free to post your comments here on Smashwords or on my website.
