He taught marketing and sales at the university level for eight years before becoming a full-time professional speaker in 1979. Since then, Tony has authored 10 books, including Non-Manipulative Selling, The Art of Managing People, Publish & Flourish, and People Smart. His expertise is also featured in several award-winning audio and video training programs, including The Power of Listening film.

Tony lives in La Jolla, California, with his wife, Sue, and their four children.
