She lived in a village in Scotland with loving parents, her five siblings surrounded by animals. After marrying, they bought and renovated several properties, inlcuding buildings suitable for a bed and breakfast or holiday lets. They adopted their two sons and emigrated to Australia toa warmer climate as the younger child suffered from chronic fatigue. They purchased an accommodation business. Her husband left, and she was diagnosed with Melanoma. She qualified as an accountant, met a new partner, moved to Perth and started a consultancy company. Retiring young, they caravanned around Australia. Her partner died in 2020.Writing this book emotionally helped her heal.
