Autorenporträt

D. Michael Thomas is a lifelong student of the War Between the States. He holds a BA in history from The Citadel and is a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam. He spent several years as a volunteer of the Chesterfield Historical Society of Virginia, providing research, writing newsletter articles and serving on the board of directors. His first book was Wade Hampton's Iron Scouts: Confederate Special Forces (The History Press, 2018).
