This book examines how conflict has affected the rights of youth in Northeast India. Moving beyond considering Northeast India as a theatre of insurgency, this pivot offers an alternative understanding of youth unrest in India and issues of non-representation in terms of rights and ethnic, national and cultural identities.
Dr. Haans J. Freddy is Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science, Madras Christian College. He was also a Research Fellow in the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi. Dr. Freddy received his PhD in Political Science from North Eastern Hill University and is the recipient of the Centrally Administered Doctoral Fellowship of the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi (ICSSR).
