The novel "Fateh Al -Andalus or Tariq bin Ziyad" enters into a series of novels of the history of Islam. It is the third novel, along with the novel "The Girl of Kairouan" and "Abd al -Rahman al -Nasser", in which Zidane deals with the period of Islamic rule extending in Andalusia. This narration includes a statement on Spanish history before the Islamic conquest, with a description of the prevailing social and political conditions among its people during the rule of the Goths. The novel also deals with the historical facts that witnessed the conquest of Andalusia at the hands of Commander Tariq bin Ziyad, and the killing of Roderick, King of the Goths. Despite the centrality of the character of Tariq bin Ziyad as a historical figure, the narrative championship was on the share of the daughter of Count Julian, the ruler of Ceuta, and the fiancée of Ibn Malik al -Goth.
