Autorenporträt
John O. Adler, CPPO, is a seasoned procurement professional with more than 40 years of experience, culminating in his role as Arizona's State Procurement Director. When he was given responsibility for managing a construction program for a wildlife conservation agency, John developed his own research and training program that later became a specialized NIGP (Institute for Public Procurement) construction and design procurement workshop delivered throughout the US and Canada. John has been a member and officer of many professional associations, including NIGP, National Contract Management Association (NCMA), and Institute for Supply Management (ISM). He is the Past President and a Life Member of the National Association of State Procurement Officers (NASPO), former chair of the Procurement and Materials Management Committee and director for the American Public Transit Association (APTA), and he is a trainer for NIGP, NASPO, and the National Transit Institute (NTI) at Rutgers University. John recently retired as vice president of procurement for Dallas Area Rapid Transit, where he was responsible for more than $3B in public works construction.
