So started the most hectic three days of my life. My mother and I were once so close but now estranged, was loving a woman so evil? This is a journey of reconciliation, a mother I had put aside so I could live with the woman I had fallen in love with. What didn't help was that Amanda was a high-profile government civil servant, not indispensable but important enough for the government of the day to turn a blind eye to her private life. I was a writer, of fiction stories who had by sheer luck written several best sellers, the last two staying in the top ten of the NYT best sellers list for over 3 months. So much for low profiles.
