Autorenporträt
Gisele M. Arruda is a Professor in Circumpolar Studies in the field of energy, the Arctic, climate change, environment, and society. She is a member of the US Arctic Committee; an honorary member of the University of Aberdeen; a country director of the UK branch of the International Higher Education Teaching and Learning Association, New York, US; and a Council member of Polar Educators International. She is the author of Renewable Energy for the Arctic: New Perspectives and Sustainable Energy Education in the Arctic: The Role of Higher Education, by Routledge.

Lara Johannsdottir is a Professor in Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Iceland (UIce) and a former academic director of the Environment and Natural Resources graduate programme (2019). Johannsdottir is a board member of the Institute of Business Administration, heads the Environmental and Sustainability Committee of the UIce, and is a former board member of the UIce research fund, and the School of Social Sciences evaluation committee. Johannsdottir was a Fulbright Arctic Initiative Scholar (2018-2019) where she collaborated in research with scholars from Canada, Denmark, Finland, Russia, Sweden, and the United States on Arctic-related affairs. Her research focus is on the business sector, in particular the insurance sector, and corporate social responsibility, corporate sustainability, sustainable business models, responsible investments, and Arctic business affairs.
