What can be said about COVID-19 that has not already been articulated in one way or another? Perhaps: a question which wonders about the effects of COVID on young writers' lives. The goal of this anthology was to give a space for youth voices, from Lake County, Indiana, Grades 5 to undergraduates, to express how the relentless pandemic impacted their lives. An overarching theme is, unsurprisingly, one of resilience. Thank goodness for that. Their inclusion within the narrative of this virus is crucial to our posterity; because COVID-19 has done anything but magically gone away.

The Morning Bishop Theatre Playhouse was founded by its namesake (1942-2015), a Pennsylvania native, in Gary, Indiana, in 1984. Still in operation, it is the oldest continuing community theater in Gary, providing community outreach and summer activities along with arts programs and entertainment.
