This book introduces the New Education Movement in the period of the Republic of China(1912-1930),led by several social scholars who had studied abroad in Europe and US as well as public figures of education field from different level and social activists helping the movement. It takes pragmatism as the guiding thought to build a blending education with China and the West. The movement went through several stages and became the part f the new tide of international education and the foundation of China's modernization of education. It shares the same source with the New Culture Movement. The book revived the history from the angle of education activity history.
