As background no need to read the first Bellwether, as the Preface will bring you up to speed. But Bellwether Bob was an orphan from Nome, Alaska who made his living as a comedian and by panning for gold on the Nome beaches. He moved to Anchorage, Alaska where this volume picks up.

His Nephew Albert said it best when he described his uncle's comic routine, [and demeanor in general] as a combination of "that real old guy, Bob Newhart and that guy on the Red Green Show [Steve Smith]." If you enjoy these two characters, you'll love Bellwether Bob!

Autorenporträt

Robert Alan Haviland was born and raised in Connecticut. After he served in the Army Infantry, he settled in Alaska and worked again for the Army, but as a civilian.

It was during his time in Alaska he met his wife-to-be, Jewel Petersen, a native of Hawaii, who also chose to call Alaska home. Sadly, Jewel passed in 2021 and he stayed in what they both considered their home state Alaska!
