Today, August 15, 2020, on my 74th birthday, I'm unveiling my fictional, mystery story. It has been over four decades since I originally wrote this story.
In 1974, I was working full time for the phone company, attending Pima College as a full-time student (12 credit hours), holding a part-time job at a convenience store, and started writing my very first book.
Since the age of 28, the original copy of this book has been unpublished. That was 46 years ago. My mom and dad read it but very few others have before now. I really enjoyed writing this book.
At one point in my story, the grandma takes a fall. I remember contemplating for several days the outcome of this fall. It was a big challenge for me to determine the outcome of her fall.
Some of the storylines came from my living through similar situations or knowing about others who had. Before finishing this book, I did quit my part-time job. However, I retained both my full-time job and my full-time schedule at college during the writing of this story.
It felt really good when I wrote the last lines of my book and realized I had accomplished a goal I had only dreamed could occur.
At the age of 70, which was 42 years later, I wrote and self-published my autobiography. The Chase Story--My First 70 Years was made available to the public on August 15, 2016. Chase's Dream Journal 2010-2019 is the 2nd book that I self-published on my 73rd birthday in 2019.
All of this has inspired me to bring Cry for You; Cry for Me; Cry for Them!! into this century. I hope you will enjoy this story as much as I've enjoyed making it available for you. (Chase)
