Since 2005, Howard has been teaching at a public middle school -- briefly in Fairfax, VA and mostly in Lexington, MA. He started teaching Social Studies, but now he teaches teachers and students how to use technology to learn.

Writing has always been a way for him to open the release valve in my brain, whether it was poetry in high school and college, press releases immediately afterwards, non-fiction and memoir for a while once he became a father, and now he has entered the exciting world of MG and YA Speculative Fiction/Fantasy
