Barbara Keady (1959-2017), the author and illustrator of the first book in the Curly Crow series, "Curly Crow: Goes to the River," left an indelible mark on the series' legacy. A native of Los Alamos, New Mexico, Barbara's passion for teaching, art, and the stunning landscapes of her home state shines through in her work. Her infectious joy and love for others, especially her grandchildren, continue to resonate through the pages of Curly Crow. Today, Barbara's son, Nicholas Aragon, continues her mission by writing Curly Crow books and expanding the collection with quality stories that inspire a love for reading.
